Israel today eased travel restrictions on Yasser Arafat, saying it would permit the Palestinian leader to move freely in the West Bank and Gaza Strip.

Israel today eased travel restrictions on Yasser Arafat, saying it would permit the Palestinian leader to move freely in the West Bank and Gaza Strip.

Arafat had been confined to the West Bank town of Ramallah since December.
