Adams: FF claims of sex abuse cover-up 'a new low'

Gerry Adams has slammed accusations by the Fianna Fáil leader of a sex abuse cover-up within the Republican movement as "completely out of order" and "a new low".

Micheal Martin's comments follow the conviction of Liam Adams, the brother of the Sinn Féin President, for the rape of his daughter.

Mr Martin said he is aware of other alleged cases and said Gerry Adams still his questions to answer.

Sinn Féin's Deputy President Mary Lou McDonald has called for the comments to be withdrawn.
