It is understood that a review of Ireland's bailout package was not discussed at this morning's meeting of EU Finance Ministers in Hungary.

The debt crisis in Portugal dominated the discussions, where it is expected the country's bailout loan will be in the region of €80bn.

Minister for Finance Michael Noonan, who attended today's meeting in Budapest, has said that Ireland may benefit from Portugal's request for financial aid.
