A New York wine merchant’s 9/11 memorial wine has been approved by the September 11 memorial board, but critics say it is still in poor taste.
New York City councillor Peter Vallone attacked the idea, saying: “What’s next? A 9/11 pastrami sandwich?”
Manager Garry Madden says the vineyard lost many friends on 9/11, and the wine was a way to give something back.
