Colt Telecom announced its intention to mothball its internet data centre on the Longmile Road in keeping with its increased focus on cost efficiency with a view to reaching profitability by 2004.

According to Managing Director, Gary Keogh, the company does not currently have plans to sell the facility but will review this decision six months from now.

Existing customers of the 55.000 square foot data centre have the choice of migrating to an alternative facility in London or to Colts telecom centre on East Wall Road which has several thousand square feet of co-location capacity.
