Gardaí in Co. Offaly are renewing their appeal for information about the murder of publican Matt Farrell, a year after his death.

Gardaí in Co. Offaly are renewing their appeal for information about the murder of publican Matt Farrell, a year after his death.

The 64-year-old was found dead in his pub 'The Gaelic Bar' in Daingean on April 1, 2009.

A post mortem examination revealed he died as a result of head injuries and a murder investigation has been ongoing for the last year.

Gardaí have made a number of arrests, but they are appealing to anyone with any information to come forward.

The public are also being reminded that Crimestoppers are offering a reward for information.
