Alphyra secure Powergen contract

Irish company Alphyra has announced that its UK subsidiary, Alphyra UK Ltd, has signed an agreement with Powergen.

Irish company Alphyra has announced that its UK subsidiary, Alphyra UK Ltd, has signed an agreement with Powergen.

This will allow Powergen's customers to make payments towards their electricity, gas and telephone bills through Alphyra's nationwide terminal network.

Alphyra will also manage the vending of credit to electricity prepayment customers within the East Midlands areas of the UK.

Under this agreement, Alphyra will open up its branded payment network "PAYzone" to Powergen customers across the UK.

This will provide a quick and convenient payment facility and increase the number of locations where credit can be purchased for prepayment meters.

Powergen is an Anglo-American integrated energy company.

In the UK, Powergen is a UK suppler of electricity, gas and telephone, to domestic and small business customers, with over 3.4 million customer accounts.
