Two teenagers to face trial for murders of mother and daughter in England

Two 15-year-olds have admitted killing a mother and daughter in the UK.

The boy and girl, who cannot be named for legal reasons, denied murder but pleaded guilty to the manslaughter of 49-year-old Elizabeth Edwards and her 13-year-old daughter Katie.

The victims were found dead at a property in Dawson Avenue, Spalding, Lincolnshire, on April 15.

The two defendants, who were 14 at the time of the alleged offences, appeared at Nottingham Crown Court on Tuesday morning and spoke only to confirm their names and to enter their pleas.

A trial is due to begin at the same court on October 5 and both were remanded into custody by Mrs Justice Carr.
