Bond makers are shaken and stirred

Suddenly everything connected with the James Bond movies is taking on a decidedly confused look.

Seems the makers of the highly-successful films are having a mammoth set-to over letting Pierce Brosnan continue in the role, or cast a new 007.

The Irish actor - one of the most popular of the Bonds - admits that the producers were in "paralysis" over plans for the 21st film of the series and he's not sure if he will be returning.

Seems some of the makers want the character to develop in one direction, while the rest see other changes.

And until they decide what sort of 'new' Bond they want, Brosnan has to wait it out.
