ISEQ bounces back

The ISEQ index and the financials bounced back from yesterday's losses in a more positive day for the Irish market.

The ISEQ index and the financials bounced back from yesterday's losses in a more positive day for the Irish market.

The index closed up 26.04 at 5367.39.

AIB was up 8c at €12.86, while Bank of Ireland followed suit adding 7c to its share price to close at €10.74.

Anglo Irish Bank remained static €13.45 while Irish Life & Permanent shed 2c to €12.03.

Building materials group CRH was up again, gaining 2c to €18.57.

Pharmaceutical giant Elan gained 8c to close at €17.39.
