Tomorrow’s meeting at Kelso has been abandoned due to snow and frost.

Officials had called a 7.30am inspection and that check showed the track to be unraceable with little chance of sufficient improvement before the meeting.

Head groundsman Brian Meikle said: “We have had to abandon as parts of the course still have two inches of snow on it.

“Temperatures have dropped to minus one again and there’s no way we would be able to race tomorrow.”
