Workers at the Shorts Aerospace company are to end their strike.

Workers at the Shorts Aerospace company are to end their strike.

Shop stewards from the Amicus union have agreed to back a proposal, which has been agreed by both sides.

Under the deal, there will be no redundancies before the end of March and a controversial new shift system will be discussed as part of pay negotiations.

Over 4,000 members of Amicus and the TGWU went on strike last week in a dispute over pay and cost-cutting.
