ISEQ ends week on a high

The ISEQ index ended the week on a high today, closing up 32.68 at 6149.61.

The ISEQ index ended the week on a high today, closing up 32.68 at 6149.61.

The banks, which took a battering yesterday, had mixed fortunes today. Bank of Ireland fared the best, adding 11c to close at €12.68. Irish Life & Permanent was also on the up, gaining 7c in today's trading to close at €13.97.

AIB and Anglo Irish were in negative territory, losing 7c and 4c to close at €16.30 and €19.85 respectively.

Building materials group CRH fared wiell in today's trading, adding 20c to close at €20.85.

Budget carrier Ryanair added 15c to its share price to end the week at €6.21.

The most traded stocks today were AIB, CRH, Anglo Irish, Bank of Ireland and Ryanair.
