The Chambers of Commerce of Ireland has signed a co-operation agreement with its Chinese counterpart as part of the high-level Irish trade mission taking place in the communist country this week.
The agreement was signed today during a ceremony attended by the Taoiseach, Bertie Ahern, and Chinese Prime Minsiter Wen Jiabao in Tiananmen Square in Beijing.
The CCI said the deal was basically an agreement to promote trade and investment between Ireland and China.
