Police questioned three men today after a failed bomb attack by dissident republicans in the North.

They were detained in Armagh, where a device was found in a hijacked car in car park at the City Hotel, close to the grounds of a police station.

The security alert caused massive traffic and commercial disruption in Armagh yesterday before army bomb experts carried out controlled explosions on the car and what was described as a “viable” device.
