New survey finds doctors are highly trusted

A new survey has found 91% of us trust doctors to tell the truth.

The research from the Medical Council puts trust in medics at a higher level than teachers, judges and journalists.

It is being published as the body releases an updated guide to ethics for those in the profession.

Conducted by Amarach it has also found that 94% of patients - and 99% of doctors - rate integrity as the most important attribute for those in the sector.
