Team manager Brian McEniff has been dealt a major blow ahead of Friday's first test in the Coca-Cola International Rules Series.
Cavan's Dermot McCabe is now a major doubt after picking up an injury in yesterday's practice game in Melbourne.
McEniff is reported to be furious about the nature of McCabe's injury, which has left the Cavan man on crutches.
A physio tied his ankle straps too tight after yesterday's game at the MCG, and by the time the bus had reached the team hotel, the player's foot was so swollen he had to be helped to his room.
It is thought McCabe, who starred against the Aussies in 1998, is thought to have been in line for a starting place in Friday's first test.
