Action star Steven Seagal is countersuing a German woman who has accused him of trashing her home during the three months he spent there while filming a movie.

The Under Siege star reportedly left the villa badly damaged after living in the house on Lake Wannsee, Germany, during the making of his 2001 film Half Past Dead.

The owner, who also claims Tom Cruise was supposed to rent her villa while filming Mission: Impossible 3 but pulled out, has issued a list of complaints to be dealt with in court.

Included in the list is damages to door frames, heavily-scratched stone floors, a soiled couch and stained seat cushions.

She's also demanding a staggering total of $207,000 (€170,400) in damages. Now, Seagal has decided to countersue for defamation of character.
