Didier Drogba was the scourge of Arsenal yet again as he earned Chelsea three vital Premiership points with a second-half winner at Stamford Bridge.
Drogba, who scored twice in their Community Shield win over the Gunners at the start of the season, came off the bench to hit the winner in the 72nd minute.
A quickly taken free-kick caught defender Philippe Senderos napping and the ball hit Drogba’s shin as he miscontrolled, rolling into the net beyond the deceived Jens Lehmann.
It was Chelsea’s first league win over the Gunners for 10 years.
