Ahern slams National Sports Stadium critics
Taoiseach Bertie Ahern has hit back at critics who criticised the National Sports Stadium saying that he has never seen any of them at a major sports event.
He confirmed that an independent review is to proceed to examine the cost of the stadium because the initial report is now two years old.
Mr Ahern said that the stadium was a worthwhile project and said that many of the critics are not in a position to condemn the project.
