'Ultimate Big Brother' contestant 'attempts suicide'

‘Ultimate Big Brother’ contestant Nadia was reportedly rushed to hospital after trying to commit suicide.

The transgender winner of the reality show’s fifth series was rushed to hospital after being found unconscious by a friend in the bathroom of her flat, following an apparent overdose of painkillers and prescription drugs.

The incident is thought to have happened shortly after Nadia had been evicted from ‘Ultimate Big Brother’ last Friday where she faced boos from the crowd and later claimed returning to the show had “ruined” her life.

A friend of Nadia’s told the Daily Star newspaper: “This is a cry for help. She is very unhappy.”

Portuguese Nadia claimed earlier this week she had been edited to look like a villain on ‘Ultimate Big Brother’, where she was seen arguing with fellow contestants Ulrika and Coolio, who eventually walked out of the show over their spats.

She said at the time: "I want to end it all. I just feel my life isn't worth living any more.

"Going back on 'Big Brother' has ruined my life. I'm at the lowest point I've ever been.

"My car has had eggs thrown all over it and I've had horrible notes sent to me, calling me a b***h. I've had to start avoiding people and stop answering calls."

Nadia is now recovering back at home, and a spokesperson for the show said representatives have been in “constant touch” to make sure she is recovering.
