Police question man over €3.5m drugs bust

A man was being questioned by gardaí in Dublin today after the seizure of cocaine and ecstasy with a street value of more than €3.5m in Dublin and Co Cavan.

A man was being questioned by gardaí in Dublin today after the seizure of cocaine and ecstasy with a street value of more than €3.5m in Dublin and Co Cavan.

The man, in his 40s, was arrested by officers from the National Bureau of Criminal Investigation in the Palmerstown area of Dublin.

Cocaine and ecstasy tablets worth €645,000 were found at that location, and in a follow-up search of a house in the Cavan area, ecstasy tablets with a potential street value of more than €2.9m were uncovered.
