Woman arrested in connection with Down stabbing

A 63-year-old woman has been arrested today after a man was stabbed in the neck.

A 63-year-old woman has been arrested today after a man was stabbed in the neck.

The attack on the man, 65, took place this morning at around 10.25am in the Rubane Road area of Kircubbin, Co Down.

He was taken to hospital where his injuries were not thought to be life threatening.

The woman, arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and assaulting police, is helping the PSNI with their enquiries.

Anyone with information has been urged to contact police.
