There have been unconfirmed reports that an Irish person has been killed by a suicide bomber in Turkey.
The Department of Foreign Affairs is trying to establish whether there are any Irish casualties following the attack in Kusadasi on the Aegean coast.
A female suicide bomber blew herself up on a minibus which was on its way to a beach near the town. Four people were reportedly killed, including the bomber, and at least 10 injured.
The resort is popular with Irish holidaymakers.
The blast follows a string of recent attacks by Kurdish rebels.
