SIPTU and Unite to attend talks at WRC over Cadbury dispute

Representatives of SIPTU and Unite will attend talks at the Workplace Relations Commission over the Cadbury's dispute.

However, a stoppage by workers at the Coolock plant in Dublin will continue, with pickets in place.

Unions say the dispute at the Cadbury's production plant, which is owned and operated by Mondelez Ireland, results from an attempt by management to outsource the jobs of 17 store workers.

The company has said the workers in question have been offered alternative jobs at the plant, with a 4% pay rise.

It also says that at present, there are no plans for any further outsourcing.
