Fernando Gonzalez continued his impressive run at the BA-CA Tennis Trophy on Saturday with victory over third-seeded Andy Roddick.

A day after eliminating second seed David Nalbandian, Gonzalez saw off Roddick and advanced to the final of the hardcourt event in the Austrian capital.

The fifth seed from Chile, Gonzalez rallied past Nalbandian after losing the first set. On Saturday he got off to a better start but still needed to recover from dropping a set in a 6-4 3-6 7-6 (7/5) win.

Roddick broke Gonzalez in the sixth game of the second set after failing to get a break in the opening set. Each player held serve throughout the final set, setting up the tie-break.

Gonzalez will get a shot at sweeping the top three seeds when he faces Ivan Ljubicic in the final.

The top seed from Croatia, Ljubicic moved a step closer to defending his title with a 6-1 6-4 win over Dominik Hrbaty of Slovakia.
