Department continues search for small number of Irish in Japan

The Department of Foreign Affairs has said there are still no reports of any Irish casualties in Japan.

The Department of Foreign Affairs has said there are still no reports of any Irish casualties in Japan.

The Department's Consular Crisis Centre and the Irish Embassy in Tokyo have been able to account for almost all of the Irish nationals believed to have been in the affected areas.

They are continuing to try to make contact with a small number of others who remain on their list as communication links are restored.
