Rathnew slam Dublin co board

Rathnew officials have hit out at the Dublin county board for "pulling a fast one" and cancelling Saturday's SFC final to accommodate themselves.

Rathnew officials have hit out at the Dublin county board for "pulling a fast one" and cancelling Saturday's SFC final to accommodate themselves.

The game at Parnell Park between UCD and St Vincent's on Saturday was put back a day to Sunday because of a waterlogged pitch, which in turn put the winners' tie with Rathnew on Sunday in the Leinster SFC back by a further week.

The pitch at Parnell Park appeared to be perfect though and Rathnew secretary John Snell said: "We think there was a fast one pulled… to call off the Dublin final 24 hours before was ridiculous."
