Gardaí have arrested two men following an armed robbery in Rathfarmham.

Gardaí have arrested two men following an armed robbery in Rathfarmham.

Three men entered a supermarket on Grange Road, Rathfarmham, Dublin at around 8.50pm last night reportedly armed with a baseball bat and a handgun.

They threatened staff and escaped with a sum of money in a waiting car.

There were no injuries.

Gardaí found the suspects on Whitehall Road in Churchtown a short time later and chased after them on foot.

They arrested the two men, one in his early 30’s and the other in his 20’s, and a handgun was recovered along with some money.

They are currently in custody in Tallaght Garda Station under Section 30 of The Offences Against the State Act.
