KILKENNY-born Marion Hughes had a quiet weekend at the three-star show in Vimeiro, Portugal until this evening, when she produced a devastating double clear round to win the Grand Prix.
Riding the 12 year-old Irish-bred 'Heritage Transmission' the former Olympian cruised home a comfortable four seconds ahead of Portuguese runner-up Antonio Portela Carneiro to collect the winner's prize purse of €8,750.
Ireland's Harry Marshall had eight faults in the Grand Prix's second round with 'Ado Annie', but still squeezed into ninth place overall.
