Munster champions Waterford will play their final challenge match next weekend against Wexford before beginning their National League campaign.

Last year's league finalists lost to Limerick by five points last Saturday, but triumphed over Tipperary by a point on Sunday.

Fourmilewater's Liam Lawlor, Brian Wall, Denis Coffey (St Mary's), and Ardmore goalkeeper Clinton Hennessy were all given runs during the challenges.

However, former Munster championship-winning skipper Fergal Hartley did not feature in either game, having returned from self-imposed inter-county retirement.
