The Health Service Executive today promised a review of why an inquiry into allegations of abuse at a Co. Galway residential institute was taking so long.

It's now seven years since an investigation began into complaints against the Brothers of Charity-run adult care centre at Kilcornan.

No interim reports have been delivered, and the chairperson has indicated it will be September next year before the report will be completed.
