A former solicitor has gone on trial at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court in relation to alleged deception.

Heather Perrin (60) of Lambay Court, Malahide, Dublin, pleaded not guilty to deceptively inducing Thomas Davis to bequeath half of his estate to Sybill and Adam Perrin at an address on Fairview Strand on January 1, 2009.

Ms Perrin operated a private practice at the time.

The trial before Judge Mary Ellen Ring is due to begin before the jury tomorrow and will last five days.
