A 27-year-old man is recovering in hospital following a stabbing incident in Drogheda, Co Louth, last night.
Gardai say the victim is lucky to be alive as the knife narrowly missed his jugular vein.
He is being treated for serious neck injuries at Beaumont Hospital in Dublin.
Two men aged 31 and 39 are being held in connection with the stabbing, which happened in a flat in the Shop Street area at around 10.30pm.
