The Minister for Justice has instructed the Garda Commissioner to re-examine the files relating to the death of a young Corkman outside a nightclub two years ago.

The Minister for Justice has instructed the Garda Commissioner to re-examine the files relating to the death of a young Corkman outside a nightclub two years ago.

Adrian Moynihan, aged 23, died after an altercation with bouncers outside the Sidetrax nightclub in Cork City in March of 2001.

His father, Andrew Moynihan from Ballyvolane in Cork City, is on hunger strike outside Leinster House in protest at the handling of the case.
