The Meath SFC has been thrown into turmoil after it emerged that semi-finalists Blackhall Gaels fielded an allegedly ineligible player in the quarter-final.

The Meath SFC has been thrown into turmoil after it emerged that semi-finalists Blackhall Gaels fielded an allegedly ineligible player in the quarter-final.

Gaels beat champions Dunshaughlin in a shock result in Dunboyne but played county panelist Anthony Moyles who was red carded in the previous game.

Dunshaughlin, eyeing a third county win a row, have not ruled out going through to the semi-final themselves.
