Connacht's McHugh facing six month injury lay-off

Connacht centre Mark McHugh could be out of action for up to six months with a lateral ligament rupture.

Connacht centre Mark McHugh could be out of action for up to six months with a lateral ligament rupture.

McHugh suffered the injury while clearing his lines near the end of an exciting 22-17 pre-season win over Leicester Tigers on Friday night.

In reality, a better judgement on how long he will be out will be made after surgery. It could be anything from 4-8 months.
