The ISEQ index was up 32.08 points at 6150.99 at 10.30am today as the big names and financials performed well.
Irish Life & Permanent was up 28c (2.1%) on its opening price at €13.48. Bank of Ireland was the morning’s busiest share, gaining 7c to €11.97.
Anglo Irish Bank was steady at €17.35, while Allied Irish Bank was also unchanged at €14.90.
Building materials group CRH had a productive morning, up 30c (1.5%) at €19.80.
Ryanair was up 4c at €5.28. Ryanair pilots took the airline to the Labour Court this morning over certain contractual terms. Meanwhile, the company’s public relations department announced its 100 millionth passenger.
Elan was busy also, and found itself at €20.85 mid-morning, up 3c.
