It has been confirmed that Navy are to play Notre Dame at the Dublin 3 stadium on September 1, 2012, in what is the longest running college football rivalry in history. It will be a "home" game for the Maryland-based Navy.
The two colleges signed a ten-year contract last Thursday to continue their annual meeting until 2016.
Notre Dame, whose officials brought up the idea of returning to Ireland, famously beat Navy at Croke Park in 1996, winning 54-27 in front of 38,651 spectators.
