Kimberley Walsh has joined the ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ line-up.
The Girls Aloud beauty – who has been an actress and TV presenter since the band went on hiatus three years ago – jumped at the opportunity to star in the BBC Saturday night show, and bosses are said to be delighted.
A programme source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: “When we heard she was interested we were thrilled. Now everyone’s dying to see her moves. She’s a great name to have got.”
Kimberley will joining the likes of Fern Britton, Sian Williams and Sid Owen on the show.
She would also face stiff competition from Olympic hero Victoria Pendleton, who revealed she would love to take part.
She said recently: “Well I tell you what if they do ring me I'd be very interested I have to say. The idea of being very glamorous, it definitely appeals to me. After wearing Lycra suits and tracksuits for so long and not a lot of make-up I think yeah that would be good fun."
The full line-up will be announced in September.
