Bank of Ireland has reportedly made pre-tax profits of €642m in the six months to the end of September this year.
Reports this morning said the figure was released to the market by accident last night.
The €642m figure represents an increase of 7% on the profits reported by the bank in the same six-month period last year.
A breakdown of the figure shows that Bank of Ireland made €463m in the Republic on a turnover of €1.35bn, a profit margin of around 47%. Profits in the UK were €174m on a turnover of just over €1bn.
