Hollywood wildman Christian Slater has landed a new role - advertising bleach as part of a British television advertising campaign.

Hollywood wildman Christian Slater has landed a new role - advertising bleach as part of a British television advertising campaign.

The True Romance star, who has had a string of run-ins with police, has been hired to voice a dirty germ in the commercial, as bosses at Domestos think he has the perfect image for the part.

A spokesperson for Domestos says: "We've hired Christian because we wanted to try and bring the germs to life in the advert, he's perfect because he's got this husky, slightly dark voice. And of course, there's a slightly dark side to him."

The ads are part of a public health campaign in the UK titled 'Germaphobia'.
