The attempt took place in Baghdad on October 19, according to the newspaper Nidaa Arrafidan, which appears in the Iraqi Kurdish region.

It said the two planned to crash into the car of Kusai Saddam Hussein and then shoot him. But Kusai, considered by many to be his father’s successor, managed to escape at high speed.
