Danny Murphy has signed a new five-year deal with Liverpool.

Murphy put pen to paper on the deal before flying to Dubai with Sven-Goran Eriksson and his England squad.

Murphy was on stand-by but injuries to team-mate Steven Gerrard and Newcastle's Kieron Dyer mean the player will be heading to the Far East.
