Giles in limbo ahead of Meath County final

Meath star Trevor Giles' fate is still undecided ahead of Sunday's county football final.

Meath star Trevor Giles' fate is still undecided ahead of Sunday's county football final.

The Skryne attacker appealed a four-week ban received when he was sent off in the county semi-final victory over Dunshaughlin, to the Leinster Council.

However, the Council ruled last night that the matter should be dealt with by the Meath County board.

There is no video evidence of the off-the-ball clash, so witnesses may be interviewed in the next 48 hours in a bid to enable Giles to line out on Sunday.

The dismissal was the first time the former Footballer of the Year was sent off in his career. Skryne take on Simonstown Gaels, managed by Colm O'Rourke, in Sunday's county decider.
