Bill launched for people with special education needs

The Government has announced a range of new measures aimed at educating people with special needs and disabilities.

The Government has announced a range of new measures aimed at educating people with special needs and disabilities.

One of the new initiatives is the appointment of 70 psychologists to work with autistic people.

Another is the Disabilities, Education and Training Bill to legislate for people with special education needs.

Education Minister Michael Woods said this bill should be ready for discussion in the Dail by the end of September.
