Ireland's international financial services sector worth €2.3bn
The international financial services sector in Ireland has emerged from the financial crisis reasonably well.
A new survey shows the sector is worth in the region of €2.3bn per annum to the economy.
At the end of 2012, 35,700 were employed in international financial services here, with around 10,000 of those are based outside Dublin.
The report was carried out by Financial Services Ireland, the IBEC group that represents IFSC firms.
Its director Brendan Bruen said there had been a shift away from the traditional IFSC in Dublin.
"We've really expanded out from a (Dublin) base. The IFSC now is very much Ireland's IFSC, not just Dublin's IFSC."
