For a fourth Sunday night in a row, farmers are protesting over prices they are being given by meat factories for beef.

Protests this evening are taking place across the country.

Protestors are picketing outside meat plants at Cahir and Nenagh, Grenagh, Rathdowney and Athleague.

The factories have been accused by the Irish Farmers Association's president of concerted practice and price fixing.

He wants them to come forward with a proper marketing strategy.
