Navy divers have been called in to search for additional packages of drugs off the coast of Galway.

Navy divers have been called in to search for additional packages of drugs off the coast of Galway.

It follows the discovery of bales of cannabis near the Aran Islands at the weekend.

Drugs worth tens of thousands of euro were discovered on the sea-bed by a passing trawler.

The LE Aisling is scheduled to bring divers to the scene tomorrow morning for further searches.
