JNIR results: Breakingnews.ie breaking records

The Thomas Crosbie Media-owned and operated news sites BreakingNews.ie and Irishexaminer.com have performed strongly in the latest JNIR survey published today.

The Thomas Crosbie Media-owned and operated news sites BreakingNews.ie and Irishexaminer.com have performed strongly in the latest JNIR survey published today.

More than 88% of Breakingnews.ie and 72% of Irishexaminer.com visitors have said they visited the site "at least once a month".

In addition, Breakingnews.ie visitors spend 13.65 hours and Irishexaminer.com visitors spend 13.61 hours online per week which compares favourably with the average 9 hours per week spent online.

A significant two thirds of Irishexaminer.com and BreakingNews.ie audiences are classed in the upmarket ABC1 category.

Commenting on the results, Ms Angela Crowley, CEO of Thomas Crosbie Media, said: "We are very pleased with the performance of Irishexaminer.com and BreakingNews.ie as detailed in the new JNIR survey.

"Our sites are very well established and are set to benefit from additional investment.

"We will shortly launch a redesigned BreakingNews.ie which will deliver the latest innovations in online media to include audio, video and user-generated content.

"In addition, Irishexaminer.com will be redesigned and relaunched later this year."
